> English > SURGICAL WAITING AREA GUIDELINES
We understand that providing high-quality care includes providing the best possible service to our patients' families and visitors. To ensure your comfort, we ask that the Surgical Waiting Area visitors
- Please check-in and out with the Surgical Waiting Area Volunteer when you arrive and leave the area. We keep a seating chart to help locate you when the doctor or anyone else needs to find you, so pleas make sure you inform the Volunteer if you change your seat or need to step away for a break. A Volunteer from the Recovery Room will call the Surgical Waiting Area to notify you when the patient has arrived in the Recovery Room.
- Patients usually remain in the Recovery Room for a minimum of 24 hours. This length of time varies for each patient and can take up to 4 hours. Please remember that when you speak with the doctor, the patient probably has not yet arrived in the Recovery Room.
- When the patient is assigned to a hospital room, the Volunteer will notify you.
- Visitors will not be allowed in the Recovery Room.
- We ask that you do not eat in the Waiting Area. There are several areas designated for eating, the Cafeteria on the 8th floor or the Café Daniel in the Main Lobby.
- In order for us to maintain cleanliness and appearance in our Waiting Area, a Security Officer will pass by to announce a friendly 'wake-up' call each morning. The Housekeeping team will come by during certain hours. Please allow them to do their job by temporarily moving to a different location.
- To help us make your experience at the Surgical Waiting Area as pleasant and comfortable as possible, we ask all visitors to kindly keep the noise level down.
Food and Beverages
Aside from the vending machines located on every level, there is a full service cafeteria located on the
8th floor where Korean as well as Western meals are served.
Fresh coffee is available at the Café Daniel located in the Main Lobby.
Smoking Regulations
For your health, safety and comfort as well as your visitors and other patients, smoking is prohibited
throughout the medical center and within 25 feet of the building.
Parking
There is available a three story parking structure located due east of the and adjacent to the medical
building.
